What should a new client know about working with you?As a mental health practitioner, one of my fundamental commitments to new clients is to provide them with a safe and supportive space where their thoughts, feelings, and experiences are genuinely heard and understood. I firmly believe that effective therapy begins with active listening, which involves not only hearing the words spoken but also grasping the underlying emotions and concerns. When clients share their stories with me, I take the time to truly listen, allowing them to express themselves without judgment or interruption. Beyond just listening, I am dedicated to collaboratively designing a treatment plan that aligns with each client’s unique mental health needs and goals. I recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to mental well-being. Every individual brings their own history, strengths, and challenges to the table. By involving clients in the process of choosing a treatment plan, I empower them to take an active role in their healing journey. This not only enhances their sense of agency but also ensures that the strategies and techniques we incorporate are genuinely suited to their preferences and circumstances.

What is your typical process for working with clients? My typical process of working with patients is to allow them to express their needs while I listen intently to them. I ask them some questions to help me understand the kind of treatment plan that would be appropriate for the patients and discuss with the patients the appropriate treatment for them. My mode of practice is centered around the patient, and he/she contributes to the treatment plan suitable for him/her. My patients and I are a team to meet a common goal, which is their optimum mental health.
